When you visit Curio properties, you can expect dining experiences as diverse and unique as the independent hotels that form the collection. Start the day with a hearty breakfast or nutritious light bite; try innovative local favorites prepared with only the freshest ingredients, or simply relax with a cup of coffee in the hotel lounge. From business brunches to pre-dinner drinks and everything in between, the options at our Curio properties are there to be discovered and enjoyed.
The Boulevard Lounge is located above the lobby on the mezzanine level of the Distrikt Hotel. The beautifully renovated space in what was once the chapel is comfortably furnished and welcoming for everyone that makes their way down the Boulevard of the Allies.
We are proud to offer signature cocktails that focus on local spirits and seasonal ingredients, as well as a wide selection of beer and wine options. Our bartender’s expertise and creativity, combined with their high standards of service ensure that every experience at The Boulevard Lounge is pleasant and memorable.
In addition to our beverage offerings, we are excited to debut a new menu in conjunction with our sister restaurant, or, The Whale. From Pittsburgh classics like homemade pierogi and a “whale” of a fish sandwich, to delicious small plates of arancini and lobster fritters; our chefs next door have delivered a menu that will leave you satisfied and looking forward to the next bite.
or, The Whale is harbored next to the Distrikt Hotel in the historic Salvation Army building with it's deep-seated iron city roots and ornate 1940's character shining from deep within. The newly invigorated gymnasium is the new home to or, The Whale, where you'll find a refurbished second level loft track for catwalk seating and an upstairs bar. Menu items are sourced from sustainable and humane, local farmers. Guests will find a wood-fired hearth, a menu speckled with French inspiration, a butcher room on the premise and a caviar program that will truly delight. Travel down to the main dining area that features an open kitchen, a window into the butcher room and a wine cellar that doubles as a private dining space. We offer a worldly wine program a sommelier on-staff for an enhanced pairing experience, a well curated list of local craft beers and hand-crafted cocktails.
