Recently renovated, restored and re-opened with lounge seating and a bar, The Grand Hall continues to awe visitors as the Union Station Hotel's lobby and lounge area.
The Grand Hall lobby is also this Union Station hotel's lounge, offering signature cocktails, local brews and light bites as well as plenty of seating for guests to watch the show. The Grand Hall, with its sweeping archway, fresco and gold leaf detailing, mosaics and art glass windows, stands 65 feet at its tallest point. One can imagine the incredible impression the room created in 1894 on opening day. If you want to experience this building coming to life, literally… don't miss the Grand Hall Experience at Union Station.
Experience the color and wonder of a stunning 3D light show when you stay at St. Louis Union Station Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. Each night, watch as flowers sway, fireworks burst and other images dance around the 65-foot ceiling of the Grand Hall lobby in a state-of-the-art show designed specifically for this St. Louis hotel.
Created by Technomedia, an award-winning collaborator with entertainment company Cirque du Soleil, the 3D light show is the first of its kind in the US. Hotel guests of all ages will enjoy flying birds, an aquarium scene and other vibrant animations projected across the historic lobby in 30 video vignettes set to music. Revisit Union Station's past in a video narrated by actor John Goodman that features photos of the landmark train station and its passengers. The vignettes also feature narration by actor Jon Hamm and sportscasters Bob Costas, Dan Dierdorf, Joe Buck and St. Louis' Chris Kerber.
This multi-million dollar breathtaking fire, water, light and music show features a 100-foot-long waterfall with 50 nozzles that spray water 40 feet down into the lake. Lights will turn the water into a variety of glowing colors accented by the icicle lights decorating the surrounding trees. Get ready to see and feel the explosive power of the lake's fire feature during the show. Eight lotus-shaped pods on the lake shoot flames 25 feet into the air. The dancing lights, water and fire features are set to music to create a sight and sound spectacular that will get you into that is sure to impress!
Showtimes are daily at 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.
