Eight New Culinary Journeys
A hallmark of the new Diplomat Beach Resort is a collection of bold culinary experiences led by celebrity chefs and world-class mixologists. Choose from Point Royal, featuring coastal American cuisine from Geoffrey Zakarian; Monkitail, with modern Japanese izakaya from Michael Schulson; Playa, a festive Nuevo Latino restaurant from Sue Torres and Darren Carbone, and many others. Nowhere among the South Florida beaches will you encounter such an exceptional culinary scene.
Candy and Cones is one of the most memorable and engaging culinary destinations at the resort. Ice creams are freshly churned onsite and folded into customized sundaes or one of hundreds of varieties of ice cream sandwiches and pops. The modern penny candy wall features dozens of favorites by the pound. All confections can be enjoyed at the classic soda fountain counter or be taken away.

Geoffrey Zakarian's extension of Point Royal, Counter Point offers one of the best coffee and fresh juice in Hollywood, FL. Designed for everyday convenience with commitment to quality, Counter Point is the place for specialty espresso drinks, smoothies and cold brew coffee. Celebrity chef and restaurateur Michael Schulson brings his modern Japanese fare to Hollywood, Florida with the opening of Monkitail. Schulson's menu is a contemporary take on the classic izakaya, featuring sharable small plates and sushi as well as an array of specialty cocktails and saké. Surrounding an open robatayaki kitchen in the heart of the restaurant is a 15-seat sushi bar and a private dining area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Tucked away beyond Monkitail's main dining room is Nokku, a discreet cocktail lounge with four private rooms, each having full karaoke capabilities.
